We made a family trip to the park yesterday. Kory wanted to go bike riding, so I decided that Kate and I would tag along….not for the ride of course. So we loaded up and headed to the park at the hottest time of the day. Kate and I found a tree to perch ourselves under while Kory went off to ride the trails at Lincoln Parish Park. We were not settled 5 minutes and Kate was sound asleep. See below.

So with Kate sound asleep I took the opportunity to do some reading. We were both just having a big time. Then I noticed that everyone, especially the kids, started getting a little louder. I looked up and noticed a couple of little girls coming up to the party that was happening not to far from us, so I just assumed they were just enjoying themselves and got back to my book. And just a few short minutes later I hear NAY! NAY! (Yes, I know that is the best I can do by typing.) So I look up and two ponies are running right by us!!!!!!!!! I mean like 2 feet behind where Kate is sitting a stampede of horses come running by!!! I freaked for a moment then they kept running and people started trying to catch them… it was really odd. Kory comes peddling up right after and had seen the entire thing and freaked a bit too…. it really was quite funny! Meanwhile Kate never woke up. See below.

Anyway, that was our exciting trip to the park. It was nice for all of us to get out of the house together for a change, even if we were almost trampled to death
Here are some more pictures from the weekend:
