This past Saturday Kate turned 6 months old! She had her check-up on July 29th and she weighed 14lb 15oz and was 26 inches long. She is doing just great. After her doctor’s visit, she got to start on baby food!! She has now experienced peas, carrots, and squash. She was pretty fond of the carrots and squash and she tolerates the peas.
She is really growing up.
She also……. got her 1st TOOTH!!!!!!! Kory found it last night while he was feeding her. I was so jealous! She had been really fussy Tuesday evening and daycare said she was really fussy Wednesday and so Thursday wham, we have a tooth! I am so proud! If I feel this way about just one little tooth, I may not be able to keep it together for all those other huge milestones she has ahead of her.
Okay, so I have to admit I have lost my camera, so there are not going to be any picture updates in this post. I have gotten Kory to take a few (very few) pictures in the past couple of weeks so maybe just maybe I can get them from him soon to post. We are planning to take her 6 month pics tomorrow. I am hoping to get them posted by the first of next week. Just as a side note, I have lost my keys too. My friend Deanna says that I have the “Mommy Mush Brain Syndrome.” Do our brains ever unmush?
Tricks Kate can do these days: sit up unassisted for a few minutes, roll around like a roly poly, scream when she gets a peak at a bottle you are preparing for her, and ham it up whenever necessary.
Her personality just gets bigger and bigger every day. When I picked her up from daycare today, they told me that she was just all giggles today and that she acted like she was getting all their jokes! She is such a little sweetie.
Hopefully it won’t be so long between posts next time. And I am going to do my best this weekend to find my camera and my keys….. I think the live-in laudry monster may have absorbed them!
