A Few Stories
I have a few funny stories I just had to put down before I forgot.
First, Kate spent the night with my parents (Missy & Pop) on Friday night with her cousin Lila. Kate must really be having a growth spurt right now because all she wants to do is eat. She is constantly signing “more” which is her indication that she wants to eat or drink, but usually eat. Well Pop experienced that first hand Friday night and Saturday. Saturday afternoon we all went to the park. Kory, Kate and I got there before Missy, Pop and Lila, so I was telling my dad that Kate got to swing, slide and even see-saw and never once seemed impressed. Pop in turn said “of course she is not impressed with the park there is no concession stand, cotton candy or anything to eat!” Kate is getting a bad rap these days….we think she may start oinking at any time.
We really are just glad she is eating!
I told myself I was not going to share this the first time it happened, but the second time in a row was too much so I just need to put this down for documentation so Kate can never deny it. It would be pooping in the bathtub….two nights in a row she has done this to me!!! And for the record I don’t mind changing her dirty diapers, but poop in the tub is really pushing my limits.
Kory soooo gets called in for backup!
Story 3: Our little girl really is growing up. Now that she is finally drinking out of her sippy cup, she loves filling her mouth up with her milk or water and the just spraying it everywhere. So, today she was in the living room playing and she was drinking milk in her sippy when she did her usual spray. She got it all over her and the carpet. Kory and I were watching tv, and next thing we see she has gotten a dishtowel off the ottoman and it wiping herself off and wiping the carpet. I was shocked and Kory now thinks daycare is using her as slave labor. Really, this may totally have been a huge coincidence, but how did she pick up on that!?! For the record we really don’t think she is having to clean at daycare
Oh yeah, she is moving up the 1 year old room tomorrow. She visited it Wed-Fri of last week and they said she did good. Things will be changing, she will be eating out the kitchen, no more bottles and no more pacifier, sleeping on a mat. We will see how this week goes…I am thinking it may be harder on me that Kate.
Just as a side note, I still can’t find my camera so I am relying on Kory for pictures now. He took some at the park yesterday maybe they will get put up soon.
Laura and Kory are the proud parents of beautiful Katherine Kyzar.
