I know ya’ll are thinking “who is this person that is actually posting on a regular basis?”!!  I am grabbing every chance I can to get all of my pictures straight now that they are coming from different cameras.  I should also add that I have a little more “free” time now that Kate has become addicted to Blues Clues….the child can’t get enough.  She wakes up asking to watch it and comes home asking to watch it after she eats…I am not so sure that the attraction is not getting to lay in Mommy and Daddy’s bed to do it!  Please don’t judge me!!  I do not always have her sitting in front of the TV!

Some things that I have been going on with us lately.  We are having our first annual family 25 days of Christmas.  We have been exchanging gifts every night since Dec 1.  And can I say, Kate LOVES to open gifts, no gift gives her problems!  It is so cute, she gets so excited no matter what it is…she says Ooooooo over cups and bowls!!  Kate is in a phase that she HATES going to daycare and every morning is a battle for me and her teachers when I drop her off.  They told me this afternoon that this morning’s fit “only” lasted 15 minutes.  I feel absolutely horrible, but am at a loss over what has triggered this and am upset that the magic fix it button is lost!  I feel like I have been so busy, but for the life of me I can’t say what we have been doing.  Oh yeah, Kate and I went with Aunt Aarin and Baby Gray to visit Santa Saturday morning.  Kate has been soooo excited about Santa and could not say enough about him when we saw him, but she was not so sure about sitting in his lap.  She was like wait a minute, he is real and not a picture!  Kory has been just shy of breathing photography.  We are both excited about the opportunities that have opened up and are looking forward to where they will take us.

Okay enough of my babble onto pictures!

One quick post because I want to get to bed, but I also want to share.  Below is a picture we managed to get of the kids the other night at the Ruston Christmas parade.  It has been way too long since we got all three so we made it a point.  We could not quite get one with all 3 smiling but this one works!  Malory had a fabulous time catching beads and candy, Kate was overwhelmed with all the new things and Noah had some fun when the horns were not blowing us away.  Overall we had a great time!  Thanks Dan and Deanna for the rockstar parking and the french fries!!

A few weeks ago I took the opportunity to be the one behind the camera and get Kory and Kate to “look pretty” for me.  In my effort to learn more about photography Kory gave me his “old” camera and suggested that I start learning some basics with it.  So the pictures above are part of my learning process.  Maybe I am a little biased, but it is hard to go wrong with such an adorable little subject.

Can I just say she is the absolute most precious thing ever?!?!?!?

For an update on what we have been up to.  Kory got an opportunity to take engagement photos for some friends of ours and also do a bridal session on the same weekend, so to say the least he has been very busy with that and has decided he really wants to pursue the photography avenue.  I am excited for him and can’t wait to see how he develops his talents.  If you want to check out some of his stuff go to www.kyzarphoto.com  I have been helping out a little with that and have enjoyed getting to be a part of it.  For Halloween, Kate was a fairy and some pictures are below.  We went “trick or trunking” at Granna’s church and got a bag full of candy that we have not shared with Kate!  I think Kory will have some pictures to post too.  We went to Talulah and celebrates Kory’s grandmother’s birthday.  It was a great trip and we got some great pictures out of it too….Kory has those also!  We made a flying trip to Baton Rouge this past weekend for my cousin’s wedding.  Kate just thought the hotel and the elevator were soooo cool!!  We got there on Friday night around 1:30am and Kate thought she had just woken up from nap time and was ready to have a big time….she was absolutely precious!!  We had a 1st on that trip, first time to sleep in the bed with mom and dad….and I think Kory (more so than me) learned why we don’t do that more often!   Kate is doing great at home with her pottying, but daycare is another story for another time.  AHHH!!!  One of her teachers did tell me today that she is a smart kid….like we did not know that?!?    So all in all, Kate has been busy being cute and growing up, Kory has been busy with photography and I have just been busy being a mom.

Kate and Kory had a “photo shoot” one night when I was gone…..below is what came out of that

Kory and Kate have gone to Wal-Mart to pick out a toy.  He asked her if she wanted to go to town with him and pick out a present and she clapped her hands and said “Present” very clearly.  She is growing into a little girl so fast.  The transition to her toddler bed is going much better.  With the exception of last night, she got has gotten in her bed and we have not heard a peep until morning.  YAY!!  We ended up putting up a baby gate in her doorway at bedtime.  This morning she was putting her monkey and lovie night night in her bed and insisted that the gate needed to be up so they could sleep.  How cute!! 

Last weekend Kate and I went to spend the weekend at my brother’s house.  Kate just absolutely loved getting to spend so much time with her cousins.  Her and Lila just play and hug and kiss on each other.  They are all just soooo cute.  We got to get them dressed up in their Halloween costumes for a party…could not get any good pictures!!! Lila was Tinkerbell, Kate was a fairy and Evie was a pumpkin. 

Kate had her first trip to a zoo yesterday.  We decided to make a quick trip to the Monroe zoo yesterday.  She did enjoy it, but seemed to be more fascinated with the birds and their songs than any of the other animals.  The hippo kinda scared her when he opened up his huge mouth thinking we were going to toss him a treat.  I guess she thought he was going to eat her!!  Kory got a few pictures, probably none so good, she was pretty tired and did not want to smile for the camera…but we documented it!

Sorry no pictures this post.  I will try to take some this week and have an adorable fairy to post next week! 

As promised, finally a picture of the new toddler bed.  Things could be worse, but could also be better with this transition.  She sleeps in it fine, it is going to sleep that is not so fine!

Today is a very sad day for me.  Kate is moving up to a toddler bed, yes that is right I said she is moving out of her crib.  I don’t think in any way am I allowed to call her a baby anymore.  It all started yesterday morning when I found her crying to get up around 7am (usual routine), but this time she had a leg hiked up and a foot over the front of her crib. :O  was my reaction.  So last night Kory and I decided it was no huge deal and so we put her down for bed and left her as usual.  About 20 minutes later she starts crying and I decided she needed to work it out herself for a bit, well the crying started sounding pretty serious and and I go in her room to find her with one leg stuck over the side of her crib!!!  My little escapee is not so smooth!  So, needless to say her mattress got moved onto the floor which made for  a long night for Kory and I. So here we are today, Kory shopping for a toddler bed and me walering in self pity over my little girl growing up way too fast!!  Let’s hope she takes to her new bed.  I will post pictures when we get it set up.

In other news, the month of September was a busy one for all of us.  Kate got tubes and her first haircut.  She has done great with her tubes and likes to put in her “pretty ears” for bath time.  She got her bangs trimmed and the back of her haircut, so we are trying not to go for the mullet look!  I know I had all kinds of things I wanted to post, but here I am now with time to post and can’t remember much at all.  So what I know ya’ll wanted to see anyway, PICTURES!!!
